Ford Crown Victoria Though they were what most people drove in the 1950s and 1960s, full-size cars like the Ford Crown Victoria are now an anomaly. But Ford's biggest sedan still offers significant virtues, including affordable V8 performance and room for six people. Today, the Crown Victoria's passenger and cargo volumes compare favorably against fashionable SUVs.

Default 99 Crown Vic owner need mod help

I joined this forum because i just bought a 99 crown vic and it's the P72 the fleet/taxi model. I was wondering if the mods i find for the P71 would work for mine and what mods could i make to mine that would give it a more aggresive P71 feel. I read somewhere that i should get a cat-back exhaust system with an X crossover, and a k & n conical air filter system. past that i don't really know what i should look for to add horsepower or what would work or even be worth the money. Any suggestions would be appreciated, if anybody out there has a p72 model that you have personally upgraded i would like some pointers. i would like a stiffer suspension and stiffer handling if possible. i have done alot of reading and i will continue to do so , but it never hurts to ask for some help. I live in Ms and we don't have shops that specialize in custom car jobs so it's all on me to come up with some ideas and then find people who can do it if i can't do it myself.

Hello, I own a 99 Crown Vic and beefing up the suspension was the first place I started. Get rid of that girly .67 inch rear sway bar, and put in an Addco 1 incher. You'll notice a significant improvement in high speed cornering, and use the Energy Suspension poly bushings, I recommend swapping out the stock zinc coated hardware and using stainless steel fasteners. 3/8" bolt, etc. Next look at steel or aluminum rear control arms to replace those adequate, but mushy rear bars. Look at adtr.net.

Any mod you find for a P71 / crown vic or grand marque will work on your car.
