Ford Crown VictoriaThough they were what most people drove in the 1950s and 1960s, full-size cars like the Ford Crown Victoria are now an anomaly. But Ford's biggest sedan still offers significant virtues, including affordable V8 performance and room for six people. Today, the Crown Victoria's passenger and cargo volumes compare favorably against fashionable SUVs.
I have a 1995 Crown Victoria. All ran well until yesterday I tried to start the car and the ignition key just won't turn. I tried wiggling the key / steering wheel, pulling out the key a little but it just will not turn. I took off the panel under the steering colum to look for loose linkages etc but all seems to be okay. Finally I drilled out and replaced the cylinder but still it's stuck. Have you got any ideas. The car is several miles from home and I can't even tow it back here....
Try to turn the steering wheel Left or right hard. Then turn the key over, this may work. The steering wheel is on a lock position. And will not unlock until u turn the s/w. Hope that will work for ya! Good luck.
