Default 2000 crown vic autolamp cycles on/off
My 2000 crown vic has a problem with the auto lamp. With auto lamp in on mode and key out of ignition, headlights and interior lights cycle on/off when night falls. With auto lamp off, headlights stay off, but interior lights still cycle on/off in approx 30 sec interval. I have to pull the fuse to make it stop. Once the sun comes up, I put the fuse back.
Any ideas?

There is a short from water getting to the keypad.

That might explain why the keypad does not unlock the door. However the keypad lights up when the interior lights illuminate.
