92 CV oil pan.... my 92 Crown Vic has a leaky/rusty oil pan. and the mechanics want $800 plus to raise the engine and drop the oil pan.....this is something I don't want to do either..Has anybody considered cutting the saddle part of the frame? and then dropping the oil pan....Looking at the gosh darn awfull factory weld job, anything would be an improvement......and it would easy enough to over-engineer a new saddle to hold the frame together... I plan on driving the poor car into the ground/junkyard and not pass this on to someone else....
any thoughts on feasability? |
