Ford Crown Victoria Though they were what most people drove in the 1950s and 1960s, full-size cars like the Ford Crown Victoria are now an anomaly. But Ford's biggest sedan still offers significant virtues, including affordable V8 performance and room for six people. Today, the Crown Victoria's passenger and cargo volumes compare favorably against fashionable SUVs.

Exclamation 96 Police Interceptor Feul Filler Neck Leak

New to the site and hoping for some good word on my car.

I have a consistent gas leak from my fuel cap. When the cap's off, you can see that an inch long piece of the filler neck is broken off not sealing the cap when it's tightened. Therefore, it's not able to pass smog, it's losing gas and fuel pressure. Anyway, I'm trying to find out how to replace that part. The Ford site doesn't sell the upper filler neck. Or maybe that's not what it's called. I thought maybe it would be the upper seal, but you can only get to that from underneath the car. Anyone know what that part may be called, where to get it or how to replace it?

Thanks guys!

hey dude. you probably have a bad hose (neck tube) going down to the gas tank. best way is to take the tire off, lift the car, access through the truck panel and replace the entire hose (tube). use the same rubber grommets that keep it in place going inwards to the gas tank.

buy a new fuel cap and see if the pressure will work. the hose should cost you about 20-25 bucks. go to an autzone or a junkyard and pull it off.

if not, its robbing you of gas and exposing fumes all over the place.
