Ford Crown Victoria Though they were what most people drove in the 1950s and 1960s, full-size cars like the Ford Crown Victoria are now an anomaly. But Ford's biggest sedan still offers significant virtues, including affordable V8 performance and room for six people. Today, the Crown Victoria's passenger and cargo volumes compare favorably against fashionable SUVs.

Lightbulb Get the Spotlights Working

I recently bought a 2001 crown vic p-71. It has spotlights on the passenger and driver's side, but they are disconnected. The seller told me it was genrally due to the wires being unplugged by the municipalities prior to auction or sale. Also, fuses may have been pulled to make it even easier. Does anyone know how to access these wires/plugs, and where I might get a fuse diagram??

The plug is inside the A-pillar. You will need to remove the spotlight to get at it. As for the fuses check the ford owner's website. You'll be able to download the owner's manual in PDF form. Wiring diagrams should be in the Factory Service Manual but I don't actually own a set yet so I can't say for sure.

Don't know if you have fixed it yet, but if you haven't, when I was driving those we used in-line fuses, especially on the driver side. We had the passenger side set for red flashing and then put a 5" aircraft landing light in the driver side. That way if you did blow a fuse it was just right there.

pull the a pillar cover to find the wire and just rewire it, i haven't found any of the police specific wiring diagrams to be useful.
