 96 police interceptor looking to convert to 4valve 02' marauder spec
I have a 96' interceptor, i'm looking to convert the car to 4 valve na. i have complete stock heads from an 02' marauder, and a 96 romeo block from a 2 valve engine. there are only subtle differences in the head gaskets, but i've been told 4 valve heads are compatible with a two valve block. also a ford engineer that was at the shop told me that a 2 valve harness and pcm will run a four valve engine. he couldn't go into detail for lack of time but he said only a few pins need switching in the harness. also i have available to me a set of forged rods and pistons for a cobra. all these components should be compatible, save possibly the pistons, just wondering if anyone out there has any experience with such a conversion, any thoughts would be appreciated |
