Ford Crown Victoria Though they were what most people drove in the 1950s and 1960s, full-size cars like the Ford Crown Victoria are now an anomaly. But Ford's biggest sedan still offers significant virtues, including affordable V8 performance and room for six people. Today, the Crown Victoria's passenger and cargo volumes compare favorably against fashionable SUVs.

Default Traction Control Problem

I have a problem with my 2005Ford Crown Victoria 4.6L as I drive it if I accelerate fast it will not let me go over 50 mph and the traction control light starts to flash. It is as almost as if the the accelertor pettle is cut off. If I pull over and bring it under 30 mph and bring the acceleration up slowly it will work ok. If I turn of the traction control by pressing the trac off button in the glove compartment the car will run perfectly fine. I was told that in this year these cars have problems with the ABS modules and ECM. I replaced the ABS module and had my ECM flashed. The problem is still persisting. I have tested the traction control switch and it is working fine. The Brakes and rotors are new. There are no codes present. Anyone have any Ideas??????I need help.

Two possible problems are having mixed tire sizes or even different brands of the same size, and having dirt on the wheel speed sensors.
