Ford Econoline There's more to the Econoline's staying power than Ford simply sticking with a product that has been the No. 1-selling full-size van since 1980. The Econoline has received only minor changes over the years. The result is a cargo van that looks different, but is still very much the same. For many E-Series customers, that is the best news of all.

Default 99 E150 fuel filter
I believe it's under drivers seat on frame rail, Do I need any special tools to change it out? Will be attempting to do this with a broken leg, will be fun.

It depends on the disconnect fittings. Most I have worked on had a simple clip that popped out.

If it is like this the white clips just pop out with a small screw driver.

Just got the filter off. Late because of these storms here in N. Cal. Blow thru it and it seems to flow fine. Should it squirt gas from the tank side line when I turn the key on? Is the fuel pump in the tank on these things? Thanks.

It was the fuel pump. Then when driving home the alternator went out. Lucky me.
