The Econoline has received only minor changes over the years. The result is a cargo van that looks different, but is still very much the same. Hello- I'm about to buy a 98 econo club and I would like to make it safer on the road, would this modification help? also I'd be willing to lower it if that would help. Does anybody know the safety report for collision's with this van i've looked but I can't seem to find any. Thank you for your time

Wider wheels makes it safer to an extent as long as they are big enough for the rim to handle safely, however gas mileage will drop and if you drive in snow your van will really handle like crap.
