Ford Econoline There's more to the Econoline's staying power than Ford simply sticking with a product that has been the No. 1-selling full-size van since 1980. The Econoline has received only minor changes over the years. The result is a cargo van that looks different, but is still very much the same. For many E-Series customers, that is the best news of all.

Default 95 E250 wierd starting problem

I have this E250. It seems like everytime it rains for a couple days and we have high humidity, the darn thing WILL NOT START. It will crank and crank, but not fire. I can hear the fuel pump turning on. I don't believe its flooding, I can't smell gas. Could it be a bad distributor cap or a wire somewhere, somehow getting wet??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! I need this thing to run to get to work!!

Andy

OH, btw its a 5.8L gas

Default RE: No Start

Crank no fire, you hear the fuelpump come on, Id start by checking spark if you have no spark, could be a bad coil?, maybe bad cap and rotor Kindo doubt if this happened all of a sudden? but maybe, possibly a bad pickup module in the distributor.. make sure the rotor is spinning on crank and the thing dont have a busted timing chain or gear or sheared rollpin in the distributor. finally if all that checks ok, hmm well maybe check and see if its got injector pulse? Possibly a bad driver in the cpu or something allong these lines <---usally not the problem but it is possible.

hope these sudjestions help
