Ford Econoline There's more to the Econoline's staying power than Ford simply sticking with a product that has been the No. 1-selling full-size van since 1980. The Econoline has received only minor changes over the years. The result is a cargo van that looks different, but is still very much the same. For many E-Series customers, that is the best news of all.

Default 01 E250 Horn problems

No horn since I purchased the van a year and a half ago. Removed wires at horn(s), heavily corroded. The main wire going to the horn had a bad connector so I replaced it as well. Still no horn.

Checked relays, fuse and found the #27 15amp(DLR module, Horn Relay) fuse was blown. Replaced it with new fuse, it immediately blew.

I assume I have a short somewhere?

Should I be able to test the horns by themselves by running a hot wire to them. Could they be bad and causing the short?

Any other suggestions or where to maybe start looking.

Thanks

I looked at the diagram wrong I wont mater if the horn is plugged in or not if the fuse blows as soon as you put it in.Pull the horn relay and check it .The short looks like it has to be between the fuse and the relay. If it were on the other side of the relay it would make the horn blow all the time.
