| 1997 E250/350 door latchs on 60/40 doors side & rear
Hello fellow members! Its cool to be a part of the ford forum community, and I hope that I may be of help to some of you in the future.
I was brought a 1997 F250/350 ClubWagon with the 60/40 side and rear doors. Both sets of doors will not open from either inside or outside. On the side doors the door skins are off and I have access to the inside of the door.(have to do those first to remove the seats on this 15 passenger van to get to the rear doors)...I found both cables that operate the latch mechanism in the bottom of the primary door.
Here is my mission: I'm attempting to manually open the primary side door from inside the door and replace the cables without destroying the door latch and would like to know "if there's a way to trip the latch from inside the door itself" and get the doors open so I can replace the cables.
Any input would be appreciated....thx MLJ |
