Ford Econoline There's more to the Econoline's staying power than Ford simply sticking with a product that has been the No. 1-selling full-size van since 1980. The Econoline has received only minor changes over the years. The result is a cargo van that looks different, but is still very much the same. For many E-Series customers, that is the best news of all.

Default Remote Power Locks?

I just purchased a slightly use 2007 E-250 Super Duty. When it was delivered it came with only one key. The van does have power windows, locks and Mirrors. Tilt and cruise too. I suspect that it did come with a key fob remote.

My question is this: How can I figure out if it indeed did come with a key fob and how do I go about getting (well that part is easy) and programing it to work on my van?

Thanks in advance for your help!

cycle the key from off to on 8 times ending in the on position the door locks should cycle up down and up(start with doors closed and unlocked)indicating it is in program mode you would press abutton on the remotes(s)(all must be done at the same time)door locks should cycle, turn key off door locks should cycle again indicating it is done.

I would bite the bullet and get another key done even though it costs abit.

I belive that my 2 keys with key fobs for my 07 E250 van are regular keys.
I don`t think there is a pill/transponder in them.

I can say that my remotes haven`t worked right since new... sometimes they do and sometimes they don`t... have changed batteries several times with same results...
