Ford Econoline There's more to the Econoline's staying power than Ford simply sticking with a product that has been the No. 1-selling full-size van since 1980. The Econoline has received only minor changes over the years. The result is a cargo van that looks different, but is still very much the same. For many E-Series customers, that is the best news of all.

Default 1987 Econoline Diesel 4x4

Hey Everyone! How are you doing? I am new here to the site.

I just recently purchased a 1987 Econoline Diesel 4x4. I am going to be using the 4x4 Setup and possibly the Diesel Engine on another van project of mine, but everything else is up for sale!

This is an extended body van that has a 'Camper' (raised roof) and also rear A/C and Heat. I will try to get some additional pictures posted soon.

If anyone is interested in any parts whatsoever, just let me know!

(Quick Side Note: Would you go with a 460/C6 or the Diesel setup?)

Sal -

I grew up very close to your location (Bridgewater/Somerville area) and although I've been gone for years, I remember there used to be a salvage yard up in Bergen County that had a ton of Econolines. I can't remember the name or exact location, but I'll call a few old friends tonight to see if I can get any further info.

EDIT: No luck. None of my old friends can remember what the place was called nor where it was exactly. I'll keep trying...
