Ford EconolineThere's more to the Econoline's staying power than Ford simply sticking with a product that has been the No. 1-selling full-size van since 1980. The Econoline has received only minor changes over the years. The result is a cargo van that looks different, but is still very much the same. For many E-Series customers, that is the best news of all.
Trying to help a friend. His 2000 e 150 has a rear cargo door that would not open from outside for a week or so and now it wont open from inside either. Any suggestions?? We did take it apart from inside and managed to open it but have not concluded what parts to get.. Also would like to see an exploded view if anyone has a link to such a thing without buying a shop manual. Henry
I had a similar problem last week. The solenoid that unlocks the door had stopped working.
Are you sure the door was unlocked? I know that sounds like a stupid question but be sure to check. The outside latch and the inside latch each have their own cable that runs to the door latch. They both shouldn't fail at the same time.
