Electrical Issues So I bought a 1991 Ford Clubwagon E150 for my band to ride in. I attached a trailer light wiring kit and tested all the lights and everything seemed to be working ok. We load the trailer and get ready to go. The lights are on and radio is playing and then I start the car and the lights go out and radio goes out. The emergency lights still work and break lights still work. We think fuse. All fuses are fine. We checked all fuses and the headlight switch. There are two relays in the engine that we’re not sure what they are to (they are on the far left, looking at the engine.) What works: AC blows, cigeratte lighter works and breaks and emergency lights work.. What doesn’t work: headlights, dash lights, radio. We found that half of the fuse panel is not getting power so we drew power from the other side of the panel and now we can get the headlights and dash lights to work when the key is in the ignition and on. We are desperate to figure out how to get this working correctly because we don’t want to try and hook up the trailer again and cause more problems. |
