Ford EconolineThere's more to the Econoline's staying power than Ford simply sticking with a product that has been the No. 1-selling full-size van since 1980. The Econoline has received only minor changes over the years. The result is a cargo van that looks different, but is still very much the same. For many E-Series customers, that is the best news of all.
thanks disableddude i took the pipe off on the pump side of the filter so in theory should have pumped fuel out everywhere but alas nothing do you think an inline pump would work
yes i did try blowing back through the pipe i managed to blow through but there was some resistance i didnt know if that was down to how the pump is laid out in the tank did think about blowing down it with air line but didnt want to ruin anything by forcing pressure down it
thanks for all your help guys

yes Auto Parts Fast at RockAuto seem to be the place for parts hard to tell the right pump though the one for 270 odd dollars looks like it could be close

If you already dropped the tank it should be an easy replacement. I think there is a locking ring that holds it in place, that you may need to tap out. Be sure to use something non ferrous... Brass or plastic. Remember... no sparks!
