Ford EconolineThere's more to the Econoline's staying power than Ford simply sticking with a product that has been the No. 1-selling full-size van since 1980. The Econoline has received only minor changes over the years. The result is a cargo van that looks different, but is still very much the same. For many E-Series customers, that is the best news of all.
i have a 1994 econoline e150 day van in the uk which now refuses to start there is no life going to the fuel cut off switch but the fuse box and fuses are fine and live is there a sensor on the oil presure switch that will cut off the fuel pump if oil presure gets low or is there any other fuses in the wiring for it please help i am a new owner and just purchased it in good faith

i think that the fuel pump has died there is no fuel presure or noise from the pump i have checked the cut off switch in passenger foot well i have current going in when the ignition is turned on and coming out for a few seconds then comes back when engine is cranked so reading other threads im am thinking that relays are fine the vehicle was parked for a year before i bought it i put about 40ltrs of fresh fuel in and it ran fine drove 200 miles home with no problems but got low on fuel and wouldnt start put more in and started fine ran good all the way home till i turned it off since then it has refused to start i am in england and quite hard to get parts would i be able to fit an alternative pump in the line or would this not pull fuel through the original pump
Also are you sure that you have fuel? In the past each time it didn't start you added fuel and it ran fine.

mine is a day van with full interior in the back i have had the tank out to look at the position of the pump so shouldnt be a problem to change the unit just got to make sure i get the right part sent over i had thought about trying to fit a bmw or similar injection pump in the fuel line i know the pressure is around 35psi if i can find a pump with correct out put pressure maybe that would be a cheaper alternative
