97 conversion van - reprogram remote

How do I reprogram my keyless entry remote transmitter? I think there is a two terminal connector which must be jumpered. What does it look like? Do I need anything special to jumper the terminals?

On your model year van I believe that it is hidden by a trim panel under the steering column, right in front of the drivers knees. The panel pulls off (with some effort).

Cut a paper clip in half. Fits perfect !!

Insert paper clip and turn the key to ON. All locks will cycle. If not you have a problem with the Remote Keyless Entry module.

Push any button on the first fob. All locks should cycle.

Repeat for all fob.

Remove the paper clip and all locks should cycle again.

Test fobs.

I use a dime,it is a gray kinda flat 2 terminal connector.
