Ford Econoline There's more to the Econoline's staying power than Ford simply sticking with a product that has been the No. 1-selling full-size van since 1980. The Econoline has received only minor changes over the years. The result is a cargo van that looks different, but is still very much the same. For many E-Series customers, that is the best news of all.

Default 61 Econoline Pickup (Old Skool Project)

Hello all I am new here so if I do something wrong let me know. I just purchased my newest project at an estate auction. It is a 1961 Econoline Pickup. (I guess it is a 61 from the date on the park lamps and the tail light lens. I have plans to make it look like the Black hot rod in the picture below. I have a donor 95 F-150 for the engine and trans. Here is a picture of it and I will post the Warranty # and anything else I can get off the data plate later tonight. That way some of you smart folks can tell me what all there is to it.

nice! i've always wanted one of those old vans. it looks like a lot of work, but hey, that's the fun part! good luck with your restoration. as for the door tag numbers, i'm not sure. someone else on here might have some info for ya or just keep digging, you'll find it.

Thanks Bill. I saw the reply. I have also discovered that the steering wheel that is in the car came from a 196X Mercury Comet S-22.
