| | Guest | 1977 E150 conversion from idiot lights to gauges Hi all -
I've got a nice replacement instrument cluster for my old 77 E150 but it has gauges for the "Alt" and "Oil" indications instead of the stock idiot lights.
I am aware I have to change the oil pressure sensor but have become stuck on the ammeter part of things. According to schematics the ammeter goes across a shunt, which I believe is a wire that is part of the harness in a factory-equipped gauge-type model.
What I need to find out is either the length and gauge of that wire or the proper equivalent resistance I need to make the meter read properly.
Any/all help appreciated!
Thanks - Mark | |
