Ford Econoline There's more to the Econoline's staying power than Ford simply sticking with a product that has been the No. 1-selling full-size van since 1980. The Econoline has received only minor changes over the years. The result is a cargo van that looks different, but is still very much the same. For many E-Series customers, that is the best news of all.

Default Front Door Locks Don't Work

I just purchased a '99 E-250 and both of the front door locks don't work. The key is able to open up the side and rear doors without problem but the front driver and passanger doors will not open at all. If anyone else has had this issue could you please reply and let me know what you did to fix this problem. Thanks in advance, Andrej.

Default Corroded ?

My E350 had the same problem except with 3 out of the 4 locks. I had to remove the seized/corroded lock cylinders and free them up with WD40. A couple of the tumblers were completely seized. It took a few precisely placed taps to free them so the penetrating oil could be worked in.
