Ford Econoline There's more to the Econoline's staying power than Ford simply sticking with a product that has been the No. 1-selling full-size van since 1980. The Econoline has received only minor changes over the years. The result is a cargo van that looks different, but is still very much the same. For many E-Series customers, that is the best news of all.

Default European Ford Vans

I am quite dissappointed that so many vehicles which get good milage are offered by Ford in Europe but don't even effect their American offerings.

Ford :: Pkw-Modelle

gives an overview.
There are also bigger vans somewhere, but I can't find: under LKW in germany. PKW is personal kasten wagen. LKW is something else.

Anyway, there is lots more to this. Milage is usually measured in liters per 100 km.
The rest of the site doesn't work too well, but worth chipping away at.

I can't find any other reason that Ford is going bust in the US. They are afraid to use outside/inside design in their own company. Looks to me like the Euro offering is quite abit wider than the american one right now.
