I have a 95 E150 6 cylinder that has automatic trans. The shifter lever has become very loose and sloppy. I can barely get it into Drive , Reverse, or neutral and can't get it into park. I have been told by a trans. guy that the shifter linkage in the steering column is bad. Any info on replacing this would be greatly appreciated.
first you will have to check to see if the two bolts are loose, they are located under the dash. look right up and find the lever where the cable is hoked up too, then you will see the two bolts (torx heads on them) if thats not the problem it can be the bushing on the lever in the steering colum
