| runs like crap will only go 50 or 55 mph with a max of 2400 rpms before it falls on its face i am told it needs an inline fuel pump any suggestions think this will help i cant find a fuel filter any where on this vehicle

| Verify that fuel pump is giving you problems. Check the fuel pressure at idle and throttle.

| you can only touch the throttle a little bit or it falls all over its self
i cant find a fuel filt nowhere on the van i am a mechanic but not a ford mech i got the van a month ago when my dad passed would like to drive it if i can get it to go
it has a good set of wires and newer plugs cap n rotor runs the same on front tank or rear tank
i looked behind the plate on the frame rail too not there followed lines from both tanks to diverter and inline pump to the intake manifold no filter i must be blind

| usually the filter was on the frame rails...
have you checked for a vacuum leak yet?

| Follow the fuel line from the tanks to the filter - will be under - attached to the frame as stated above - you will need a special tool to remove the line from the filter and there are two different types of removal tools. Should be obvious which one just looking at the connector end. |
