Ford Edge It seems that the days of the big boxy SUV might be numbered (at least temporarily). In the meantime, consumers are flocking to vehicles with SUV functionality and sedanlike handling characteristics. Ford's first attempt to hop aboard the "crossover utility vehicle" (CUV) bandwagon came in the form of the lackluster Freestyle.

Default New Company car to play with

2008 Ford Edge.3.5L 265 HP V6. Burnt orange, tan interior. Free Company car with free ins and gas card. Put 16 miles on and tore into it. I removed the aibox and removed the 1" snorkle that it breathed thru. This left a perfect 4 inch oval port that dryer duct fit right on. I ran the duck down to a factory covered cutout in the air dam for direct cold air induction. It was like it was all made for it. It has two huge resonator chambers in the rear plus a muffler. I wonder if just swaping mufflers to a free flow type and leaving the resonators on will help. I got nothing into it so whats a few bucks for a muffler if it will help it scream. I'll fool with a potentiometer on the air inlet temp sensor also but for now what do you think a muffler will add to such a new high HP car? Can you think of anything else to tweek it?

I've modified and tweeked every new company car I have ever owned. By making them breath better they actually get a little better milage so it goes unnoticed. Well.... untill I blow the doors off a coworker with the same car.
I won't hurt the thing I just love to tinker and help them run when I need it to. I also live at 6000ft elevation so air inlet and exhaust mods are real benificial up here. Actually I souped up company cars when I lived at 300ft so thats just my latest bs excuse!
