Ford EdgeIt seems that the days of the big boxy SUV might be numbered (at least temporarily). In the meantime, consumers are flocking to vehicles with SUV functionality and sedanlike handling characteristics. Ford's first attempt to hop aboard the "crossover utility vehicle" (CUV) bandwagon came in the form of the lackluster Freestyle.
My vehicle has 8k miles on it, and around 5k miles it started to make a whistling noise. It starts as soon as I turn the ignition on, and does not go away. Sometimes the noise will fade, but it is still faintly there. I brought it to the dealer and they said they could not hear anything. I will be bringing it back a 2nd time for them to look at. Does anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, or maybe has dealt with this problem? Vacuum leak? Fuel pump? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
