Ford Escape The Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.

Default Interchangeable headlights? (Done! PAGE 2! How it's done!)

I have seen people with 2002 Escapes with 2006 Escape headlights. Is this pretty much a straight foreward swap? It looks like the Escapes have pretty much the exact same body lines.

I think its probably the same, seeing as the hood and the bumpers of the cars are interchangeable, with the exception of the fog light housing...The 2006 fog lights are circular, nad the 02's are rectangular.

They are interchangeable, i believe. I have seen it done. Further more, with the exception of the fog lights, the front end of the car is the same. It should be fine.

Well, no. I haven't found out any information on this guys. HOWEVER, I just got two '06 headlights in tonight and in the next week or so I will attempt to swap them out. I am going to be very busy so I don't know when I will have the time to do it. Anyway, I paid about $80 total for both of them shipped to my house from ebay.

From what i read on another escape forum they do physically mount in no problem but i believe that there are some wiring differences. From what ive read you do need to splice the existing high beam wiring harness into a new one which apparently can be purchased at a ford dealership for about $100 bucks.

Ok, well I just did it today. It was REALLY easy and it looks A LOT better! I was kind of in a hurry so I didn't take pictures of it but since I have a spare headlight I can show you guys how it's done. It will be atleast a day before I get a chance to do it but I should have it done within this week.

So i really interested to see how you installed them because its something im gonna do for sure. Did they physically mount in with no issues? Were there wiring differences if so what did you do in that aspect?
