Ford Escape The Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.

Default 2008 V6 Performance Exahaust

I am considering purchasing a Magnaflow Cat Back Exhaust ( pn# 16676) for my 2008 V6 LTD Escape.
Does anyone here have any experience with this specific modification?
And if so, what kind of power difference if any did you notice? How is the exhaust note with this system?

Thanks in Advance.

if your gonna open up the back with a high flow catalytic converter then you need to open up the front by getting a cold air intake system, i would look into a company called weapon R i know they have kits for 1st gen escapes not sure about 2nd generations. But like i said if your gonna increase the power output by allowing an increase in exhaust flow then you need to increase intake flow.

I just installed the Magnaflow last night.
Took 2 hours, including an oil change.

The sound is good, got rid of the leaf blower sound from the stock system, but not loud at all.

Too soon to tell if it makes any difference in fuel mileage or power but I will be checking that in a week with a 300 mile trip pulling my camper.
