Ford EscapeThe Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.
Morning all, Just picked up a 2008 ford escape XLT 2 fwd. When I put it into gear the doors do not lock, I have checked the manual and said it is an option that you need to change on the info display. My question is what is the option you need in order to have the autolock feature. I would think its a standard option for the XLT. But Im wondering if its only on the limited escape. If not would it be a computer update? something to check with the dealer? Thanks for your help
If you have the message center there is a way to turn it off and on otherwise it will need to be done at the dealership with the ids through programable options.
Thanks for the info. I have the message center, but it doesnt show the option for autolocks. Maybe need software update? not sure. I quess the dealer will get a phone call Monday. Thanks.
