Ford Escape The Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.

Default 2005 Escape ABS Light

In July 07, I had my tires balanced and rotated (or so I thought), and then I had to go back two weeks later because the service station never balanced them. And ever since then my ABS indicator light has been on intermittently.

Its been a year.

The ABS light is still intermittent. I've had two different repair shops look at it three times...my brakes are fine, nothing out of place...they said the ABS stuff looks fine. My ABS wire was hanging down on the driver side rear wheel, but they put it back up and there was no change.

Could it be the ABS sensor or rear speed sensor? I personally have not looked at the tone rings, I assumed the repair shops did that.

Today, I noticed that when I brake and turn right at the same time, I get some clicking and what sounds like rubbing, and yet my brakes are fine. Would this be due to the tone rings if they were cracked?

I have not run a diagnostic on my ABS light, everyone wants too much money. Is there a way I could cheat and do it myself. I know you can do it with a paperclip in a 95 honda civic....

Any help is much appreciated...
