2004 Escape Limited - The sunroof control buttons only work when you press them about halfway. Opening the sunroof is ok thanks to the one-touch feature but to close my sunroof I have to delicately hold the button 56.42% (plus or minus 0.26%) of the way down for it to make an electrical connection.
I am guessing this is something I can fix myself but I don't know how to open the console that's housing the switch. How can I expose the switch mechanism without damaging the plastic casing? Any pointers?
