Ford Escape The Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.

Default Turbo Charged Escape

I've been thinking about making a Turbo Charged Kit for an Escape.

I like the new Escapes style a lot, along with the room, but I've been thinking about giving it a little more *Umpf*

Has anyone ever considered this?

Yes, no? What are your thoughts? If I make this happen would anyone else be interested in one for their Escape?

YESS I'D BE INTERESTED!!! I would totally do that were there an available option but there don't seem to be too many aftermarket parts aimed at the Escape.

The plans are set to get an 08 Escape.

Once I get it, I will be working on making more mods for it. Custom Intake, and eventually the turbo kit.

The idea of a sporty looking suv, room to fit the family, and the balls to make it haul is just too much to pass on.

It will take me some time, but I'm glad to hear that there is at least one other person that thinks this is a good idea. ;-)

Default MPGs

In the mean time, I've been working with other Escape owners creating custom tunes for their Escape to lock the torque converter earlier, adjust the shift schedule to get you into more efficient gears quicker and get some better gas mileage out of the 3.0's. It's in the works, once completed I'll post some results.

So far it's going really good, I don't have actual gains yet, at the moment I'm only focused on getting the shifts and tc locks set to be more efficient than stock.

How much hp would we be looking at? I'm sure a lot of people would be willing to do it!

At this point, I'd be guessing. So rather than do that, I'm going to say I don't know. I don't like giving out numbers or data that I can't back up. As soon as I know, I will definitely let you know.

So for the readers of this post, what do you most of you have?
The 3.0 or the 2.3?
