Ford Escape The Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.

You'd have to get a wiring digram (from say, a Haynes repair manual) and cut the wire. You can also remove the light from the dash if you feel up to taking it apart. If you remove the fuse, you'll loose all dash lights.

DO NOT CHOP WIRES there is a program in your owners manual under restraints and tells you how to do it or you can take it to a dealer and they will deactivate it for you. Also if you do the buzz goes away and the little red light stays on. If the its old enough you can just push the release on the belt and it may go out. If you can not find it then post it again and I look it up and give the sequence on how to do it.
