Ford Escape The Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.

Red face Odd Issue with cruise control?

I have a 2001 Ford Escape XLT 4x4. I think this has to do with my cruise, but i'm not sure. I got in my car one day before leaving town and my radio would only play when my foot was on the break. When i accelerated, my radio would stop. Tape, cd, everything. The clock was still on but that was it. I had my brother look at it and he unplugged some switch on my break and it also turned off my cruise. It wasn't my breaklight switch, it was another. I'm hoping if i replace this part it'll solve things but i didn't know if anyone else had this issue?

Wow! Seriously weird issues you are having. I hope you figure it out cause I have no clue in how to help you.

Only thing I can suggest it to check all fuses and take it to a dealer cause something seems dangerously wrong with your vehicle.
