Ford Escape The Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.

Default Air bag light

I have a 2004 Ford Escape. The air bag light comes on when the Escape is started. Sometimes it flashes and sometimes it is steady.
Have there been any recalls on the air bags on this year model?
Havent been in any accidents except going through an intersection and got clipped on the driver side rear (but everything was fixed from that).

Try the search function on "air bag light" and you'll find a thread on the subject.

One common problem is the seat belt sensors coming unplug under the seat. See if you can find them and re-seat the connector.
