Hello, I am new here but not to the Escape. We have an 05 and other then the main computer (covered by warrantee) going the the third year, no problems. We are thinking about buying a 2001 4cyl 5 speed as a compute vehicle but it's not sateftied. Not much for repairs but wonder if they are big jobs:
- Rear License plate lights
- Lower left Ball Joint replace
- Brake hoses - replaced and flush
I can manage these jobs myself as well as long as I don't have to lift the motor..no tools for that! Just the parts..
Buying second hand..no safety
