Ford Escape The Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.

If you think you might EVER tow a trailer (or even want a quick way to mount a bicycle rack), get the trailer tow option. The auxiliary transmission cooler is almost worth the cost alone.

it's a great truck, we love our 2009. The 2.5 litre 4 cylinder is also a good setup if you want a bit better fuel economy, but the 2009 3 litre engine has some nice power to it. I suppose you don't really have much need for a 4wd setup in that part of the world.

I just purchased the 2008 V6 Dura-tech automatic and love it. No complaints. It geared nice, everything about the suv is great. I would like to get a little more power to the stereo but thats the least of my concerns. Great choice..
