Ford EscapeThe Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.
I haven't had any stain issues with my 09 seats, although my Dodge SRT4 has the same type of seating material and it stains really easy. I got the stone coloured seats and they seem to be okay, but others have complained about them in terms of staining. Mine have gotten water spilled on them without stains, but I would think a coloured liquid could do some nice staining on them. I've had leather seats on a few cars (Escape and Fusion), and I find them too uncomfortable in terms of hot weather and cold weather use. The Escape cloth seats feel very comfortable.
My dealer highly suggested spraying the seats with scotch guard every so often (beware, do this when you don't plan on driving a bit and can leave the windows cracked for it to air out).
He said he does it on his demos all the time and it works like a charm.
