Ford EscapeThe Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.
I just bought a 2008 Escape Limited, and I am trying to install an amp and sub that I had from my old Pt Cruiser ( POS car!). I had no trouble running the wire from the battery to the back of my truck, and I will be using a line converter for my RCA's since the factory radio doesn't have RCA hook-ups, but I didn't know what wire to splice my 12vlt wire into!
I have a pretty good idea, but without knowing for sure, I don't want to proceed. I will eventually be getting a new stero and dash installation kit, I just need to know the color codes for now until that time!
You will have to splice into your rear speaker wires...I did mine a while back 2003 Model...I had to get power from the radio harness, ground it, and then splice it into the rear speaker wires. Google and try and find a color chart for you wires.
