Ford Escape The Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.

What's that for? It doesn't show the AC clutch coil or relay.

Remember just because it shows 12 volts doesnt mean it will carry a load.A test lamp is not really enough of a load either,I use a tail lamp bulb(3157)wired to use both elements.

He grounded Pin #2 of the relay and the clutch energized so it will carry the load from that point anyway.

Ok,the pcm grounds pin 2 correct ? See if it will light a light bulb relay removed ac on.That will let you know if the driver(pcm) and the circuit are good.Anyway it is just a heads up I dont like people checking circuits with a DVOM or a test lamp its setting yourself up for failure.

Whew! As written, I don't exactly understand what your asking them to do!

Grounding Pin #2 pulls the clutch ON, so that eliminates the clutch coil, relay and both 12V sources also. It's from Pin #2 back to the source of the ground, whatever that is in this case.

Wait! Do you mean check from Pin #1 to Pin #2 with the AC ON and relay removed? That would check if a good ground is coming from wherever it's supplied here.

You ever hear of a TESlite? Used with any DMM, it has a button that puts a small load on the circuit. You just look for a voltage drop when the test button is pressed.
