Whew! As written, I don't exactly understand what your asking them to do!
Grounding Pin #2 pulls the clutch ON, so that eliminates the clutch coil, relay and both 12V sources also. It's from Pin #2 back to the source of the ground, whatever that is in this case.
Wait! Do you mean check from Pin #1 to Pin #2 with the AC ON and relay removed? That would check if a good ground is coming from wherever it's supplied here.
You ever hear of a TESlite? Used with any DMM, it has a button that puts a small load on the circuit. You just look for a voltage drop when the test button is pressed.
