the air bag light is blinking for no apparent reason on this truck, when driving the lights stays on, but when you just turn the key to the acc position it will blink four times, then seven, just started doing this and im going out of my head !!!
i have an 02 ranger and 02 escape, both have had the same problem. before you take it in, check under the driver's seat - if you have anything under there, trash, papers, cd's etc. touching the wires under the seat it will cause the air bag light to flash and then stay on during driving. after cleaning out under the seat allow the onboard computer to reset after a few miles and the light might go off.
