2008 Ford Escape Whining Noise & a couple of other issues
Ford EscapeThe Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.
2008 Ford Escape Whining Noise & a couple of other issues
I purchased my 2008 Ford Escape limited in December 2008, it had 13k miles. It was a previous rental, but all checked out good at the mechanic. I now have 27k on it and I have a whining noise, that possibly was always there but now it seems to be getting louder. My BF says I'm crazy!!! It is there when I start the vehicle & when I accel it gets worse. I took it to the dealer a couple of weeks ago for an oil change & I told them of the noise and he said it is normal. ??
My question is...does anyone else have this whining noise on their escape or am I just crazy and it is normal!!
Every now and again my tranny bangs into gear. This happened with my 93 Explorer and at 90k had to get the tranny replaced. Anyone else having this issue??
There are no check engine lights and it seems to run well any other time.
I would appreciate any input anyone has. Thank you....
