Ford Escape The Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.

Default EGR vacuum regulator solenoid

Hello, After replacing my spark plugs today, I tugged a little too hard on a vacuum hose and broke off a port on my EGR vacuum regulator solenoid.

The problem is, I go to the autoparts store and they do not have a part number for it. The best they could come up with was EGR 3001, this part is close but not correct. I have been searching the internet for hours and come up with nothing. Does anyone know what part I am talking about because there seems to be different names for the same thing.

There are 2 vacuum ports on the bottom, a 2 PIN connector on the top of the unit, it mounts on the firewall with a metal bracket and a slide in clip. There could be a solenoid or some type of diaphram in there? Not sure. One of the hoses connects to the intake manifold just behind the the throttle body, tho other goes off under the master cyl booster I think. I didn't trace it back all the way. It directly affects the transmission with the hose broke off it will not go into gear.
The picture shows some epoxy that didn't hold while trying to get the car home. That is where the top port would be.
Thanks.
