Ford Escape The Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.

Default Rough winter coming 17 inch mags on 2009 escape

Hey all i invested in a sports package 17 inch mags. They are black. I'm wondering if i should buy 17 inch winter tires and just put them on the mags. Im also afraid to ruin the mags in the winter months. However i dont want to mess with the tire measuring pressure system. I have no clue what the best thing to do is. I personally dont mind buying 17 inch tires, otherwise i need stock 16 inch rims anyway.

So would it be safe to drive with sport mags in the winter?
Will the tpms be affected by changing just the rubbers?
ANy suggestions on a good winter tire from experience on a 2x4 2009 ford escape?

Thanks!
