Had a nail in my rt front tire. Took it in for repair, and voila', the tire pressure sensor was loose inside of the wheel. No faults, no indication of a problem, but it was loose and breaking the plastic edge pieces off, and depositing them inside of the tire. Shop called me in, and we discussed the problem. I thought, I've lived without this system before; why not now? (Bad call.) Pitched beat-up sensor in the trash and drove off. About 20 miles or so down the road I got a Tire Pressure Monitor Fault warning. It will not go away. I went back and fished-out the sensor from the trash, but it is now living outside of the tire, and provides no relief to system fault issue as well. Is there a way to disarm/disable this system? Thanks.
