Ford EscapeThe Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.
I just bought a 2005 Limited with 2500 miles and we love it. One concern is that the power door locks don't lock when you put it in drive and drive off. The salesman said he thought that they should lock at 15 mph but the service dept. told my wife that he "guessed" that vehicle doesn't have that feature. I have a hard time believing that. My Taurus had that 15 years ago. Can someone confirm whether my Escape should have that feature? Thanks
