Ford Escape The Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.

If you are not familiar with Car Sound / Magnaflow Performance Exhaust we manufacture Catalytic Converters and Performance Exhaust systems and have been in the exhaust business over 25 years...a google search can tell the rest of the story.

I am intersted in producing a replacement part for the 2001-2004 V6s that seem to be the issue of so many complaints here. I am offering the following:

1. Free Catalytic Converters and installation or a cat-back exhaust if you have functional cats and would perfer a performance part.
2. Rental car for the duration of the development process

In exchange I am looking for the following:

1. Use of the vehicle for the purpose of developing a sample part for our future prodution and sales.

We always need sample vehicles for developing our parts and if I can help keep someone from breaking the bank, why not? If you have any questions please contact me.

The first indication I had was while on a long trip. Arrived not feeling well and in a lot of pain. Went to a medical doctor and he had no explanation. Went to an accurpuncturist, she had not explanation. Had my car safety checked for the trip back home, nothing showed up but they were not looking for a bad CAT. Went about 100 miles on trip to home and noticed lose of power. Made it another 200 miles and it really was acting up. Took it to a dealer and the EGR valvue was replaced. This took 5 days as they didn't have the part in stock. Started to feel a little better, however, still in a lot of pain. Put it in on Saturday and got it back on Tuesday. I did ask if it was an exhaust problem. Left town and drove less than 50 miles and the car started acting up again. Had no choice but to drive it another 150 miles, not knowing that the EGR was blown. Arrived sick. Stayed there for 3 days and headed for home in the mountains. When I reached the hills I had no power and couldn't get above 25-30MPH. Arrived in the vacinity of home and went directly to the dealership here and made an appointment for the following Tuesday, it was Friday.
Took it in and asked the same question about the exhaust system. This time the new EGR valvue was cracked and blown. It was replaced and 5 days later I had my car. Two days later took it back, not running right. This time they replaced a sensor switch, part of the CA emissions. Asked the same question about the exhaust. During this time I lost coordination in my arms and legs, and still in a lot of pain. Car was delivered to me 3 days later, this time made it to the Post Office - 7 miles away and the check engine light came on. Still not knowing what was happeing I had it towed, couldn't trust the car. This time they found the CAT was totally plugged. Then everything started to make sense. I have been poisoned by my car and am going through treatments to get rid of the toxins. I also carry a carbon monoxide detector in the car. Is there anyone else out there that has had the same experience?
Jeez! Thats a scary story.
