Ford EscapeThe Ford Escape has been thoroughly updated, reinforcing the character and appeal that have made it America's perennial best-selling small sport-utility vehicle. The improvements nearly cover the spectrum, and inject a new level of refinement. We'd call the Escape a little truck among small SUVs. Its new styling deliberately invokes Ford's larger, truck-based SUVs.
This problem started out only on days it rained or was really damp. Escape starts rough... then take it out on the road and cant climb over 25 mph. Took it to a mechanic who replaced both of the cats, as well as did a full tune up and oil change. Escape started running better.
Then we got a weeks worth of rain.. Escape wont run over 25 mph after start up, and the mechanic cant find anything else wrong with it. Computer tests shows the escape is happy as a clam. Even though the weather i warming up and drying out, this problem isnt fixing itself as it has in the past when things dry out.
Any ideas??? cant afford to put too much more into this!
