Then we got a weeks worth of rain.. Escape wont run over 25 mph after start up, and the mechanic cant find anything else wrong with it. Computer tests shows the escape is happy as a clam. Even though the weather i warming up and drying out, this problem isnt fixing itself as it has in the past when things dry out.
Any ideas??? cant afford to put too much more into this!

My cats went twice and the dealership spoke to the Ford engineers. They found out that it was a computer problem. The computer was allowing too much gas to go into the cats. Which caused them to clog. The computer was replaced and so far we haven't had a problem. The car is running great. The computer was covered under warranty.
